I have not been keeping up with my blog. My weekdays are mostly filled with work. I have gotten out once this week for a walk in my 'hood'. I'll post more of those pictures in a separate blog. This blog is about last Saturday.The MphasiS hiring manager, Narayan, took me to DakshinaChitra. This is a simulated village nearby Chennai, where the heritage, architecture, and crafts of Southern India are displayed.
Above a craftsman demonstrates silk weaving. The patterns of the silks on display were fascinating. This picture shows Flip enjoying a ride on the pottery.
There was a wide range of architecture displayed, from very simple, to almost modern buildings.
